Double victory and lap record for Isaac Phelps at Brands Hatch

Elite Motorsport’s Isaac Phelps delivered a dominant performance at the penultimate round of the GB4 Championship at Brands Hatch, securing double pole positions, two race victories, and a new lap record around the Indy circuit.

The weekend started strongly on Friday, with Phelps topping the timesheets across the official test sessions. The British driver was fastest in two of the three outings, setting the benchmark time of 45.044s in the final session - 0.059s clear of title rival Dan Guinchard.

On Saturday, Phelps carried that pace into qualifying, claiming pole position for both of the opening two races. He converted his front-row start into victory in race one, leading from the lights and pulling out a commanding margin before a late safety car neutralised proceedings. The win marked his third of the season and reignited his title challenge.

The momentum continued into Sunday’s race two, with Phelps once again making the perfect start from pole. An early challenge from Guinchard was swiftly rebuffed, before Phelps pulled clear at the front, lapping up to a second faster than the rest of the field. He crossed the line with a margin of more than nine seconds, securing his second win of the weekend and setting a new GB4 lap record in the process.

With just one round remaining, Phelps has strengthened his position in the championship standings and will be aiming to close the season on a high.
